Texas lawmakers voted to extend the reach of law enforcement during times of disaster.

Last September, as Hurricane Ike made its way to Houston, both Harris and Galveston Counties issued mandatory evacuation orders. But not everyone who was told to leave did.

"During Hurricane Ike, there were numerous incidents that came up when frankly people going in to rescue folks were put in grave danger themselves because people didn't have the common sense to follow the evacuation orders," said Harris County Judge Ed Emmett.

As the anniversary of Ike approaches law enforcement is getting the power to forcibly evacuate areas when the county judge or city mayor deems its necessary.

"I think it's a wise decision to listen to the county or the state when the government tell you to move. It's for your own safety that's what it's all about. I am for safety," said George Rauth Jr.

Rauth is a former coast guard officer and has been in the position of rescuing another person.

"It's frustrating, you trying to save somebody and they refuse to go," he said.

As it stands now police can only warn you to leave, but that will soon change.

"We've always had the power to declare the disaster this just gives law enforcement the power to arrest somebody, forcible remove them, if they know they are in eminent danger of losing their life," said Emmett. He goes on to explain that the new law would be used judiciously and in extreme cases.

Hurricanes are not the only situations the law will apply, other disasters, such as a chemical spill, fire, or flood will also fall under mandatory evacuation orders. The penalty for ignoring a mandatory evacuation order can include a fine and 180-day stay in jail.

The measure is aimed at protecting lives; even so, some residents see it as a violation of their rights.

"You have a right to chose what you want to do, "said Cindy Reilley. "If they fell that strong about it, they need to have some documentation. So that they come to you and say, we're telling you, you are forcible being removed from here and if you don't want that sign on the dotted line."

The exact number of casualties from Ike is still unknown, but one thing is clear, the toll could have been worse had a mandatory evacuation not been ordered.
Copyright © 2009, KIAH-TV

http://www.39online.com/news/local/kiah-mandatory-evacuation-law-story,0,4428288.story Torrent users kill Web Bot Project! tag:snardfarker.ning.com,2009-07-28:2649739:Topic:83972 2009-07-28T15:39:05.680Z KLC ~~~Thou shall not steal

From UrbanSurvival:
[link to urbansurvival.com]

"There has been so much ripping off of the "Shape of Things to Come" report in torrent sharing and on web sites out of places like the Netherlands, that we're being forced to shut down the whole project. While it may appear to some (low-life types) that file-sharing of the reports wouldn't be noticed, not only has it been noticed, but it has driven a stake through the project.

The re… ~~~Thou shall not steal

From UrbanSurvival:
[link to urbansurvival.com]

"There has been so much ripping off of the "Shape of Things to Come" report in torrent sharing and on web sites out of places like the Netherlands, that we're being forced to shut down the whole project. While it may appear to some (low-life types) that file-sharing of the reports wouldn't be noticed, not only has it been noticed, but it has driven a stake through the project.

The reason is that the costs of the project run in excess of $20,000 per month and we'd been counting on revenue from sales of the reports to pay for bandwidth. Since the rip-off artists have effectively killed the paid downloads by giving it away free, Cliff is forced into the position of shutting down future reports unless we can find another way to cover the $25K/month in project costs."

Moreover, since that's the road Universe seems to be kicking us toward, might as well harmonize with it and put the whole project up for sale, executables, source code and all. If you're interested (and have a relatively deep pocket) send an inquiry to george@ure.net or moon@halfpasthuman.com and we can talk. Yes, we will talk to any country that wants it and no, we're not interested in 'cooperative ventures' with two-bit players. Cash talks and BS walks. Cliff's sick of the whole thing anyway and knowing the personal toll that goes into the interpretation of the data, can't say as I blame him.

Want to roll your own? Fine. Lots of luck, but don't bother us. We're trying to figure out what to do with an $850 electricity bill, a room full of servers at Igor's place and how to get out of a $16,000 data services contract.

---

Personally, the most disturbing aspect of this is that it gives me a new appreciation for how many rip-off artists are at work in today's world. It's getting to where being an inventor just doesn't pay off.

Not only has the revenue been ripped off from Cliff's ALTA/Shape of Things To Come reports by desperate people who will do anything they can to get traffic to their pathetic web sites (since they don't offer original content of high value to begin with) but Cliff has also being royally screwed because his patent for original work on his Vortex Reader is being infringed all over the place. For example, there's a "reader" program out on Sourceforge.net which seems to infringe on Cliff's patent.

Since Vortex was developed in the W95/W97 timeframe, he hasn't had time (or resources) to keep refining the interface, so when people come along, take his pioneering work, reconstruct it on more current screen-handling systems (as in XP and beyond) and throw it out on sourceforge, there goes any hope of revenue from that product. Screwed again.

All of which brings us to this morning's dour report. The web bot project is for sale, the current report is likely the last since the original benefactor who funded the project is in China and is no longer able to support the project as he generously had in the past due to the changing political situation there.

Next time you download a file off the internet that contains copyrighted material, please remember that you're screwing someone who has put hard - not to mention original - work into whatever it is that you're downloading. And no, I don't download .MP3's on torrents either. When I do the occasional audio project for clients (I do have 48+ track capability in my little home studio lash-up) I use music and production elements from my three licensed libraries.

---

This has all given me a new appreciation for the underlying nature of humans. Yeah, they may have some predictive value - and even be somewhat prescient when you listen to their babble across thousands of forums (fora, actually) and know what to look for and how to sense their subtle changes in language. But, for whatever reason, they are as a group largely without honor and truly deserving of the leaders they have.

Why, if a group of aliens were to show up in spacecraft in 2011 and judge us as a planet unworthy to continue - as in a real-life version of 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - and simple remove earth from the path of some interdimensional freeway, can't say I'd blame them. You're the exception, of course, but between you and me, we're outnumbered 100:1 by the unworthy.

Barring any change in conditions, the web bot project bids you 'so long and thanks for all the fish." Yeah, I'm still working on ways to get Cliff to change his mind, including embedding serial numbers in each copy of the report so we can go after individual infringers for damages, but that BS - to have to go to that extreme to protect proprietary work, isn't it?

UrbanSurvival, will of course, keep on - as will the in-depth analysis on www.peoplenomics.com, where I offer original analysis and look-ahead reporting.

In the meantime, if we got one good future-jack out of it (rethinking of targets) and if that prevented a whole lot of ugly, then it will have been worthwhile overall.... which leaves the chief time monk and the junior TM's all pondering the "What next?" question.

more >> http://urbansurvival.com/week.htm Want a Free Copy of Mark Dice's New 'Illuminati' Book? tag:snardfarker.ning.com,2009-07-28:2649739:Topic:83875 2009-07-28T00:50:05.151Z KLC Get on the air with a national talk radio show and plug one of Mark Dice's books and he'll send you a copy of Illuminati - Facts and Fiction ~ see details below!

TARGETS: Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Michael Savage

By Mark Dice www.TheResistanceManifesto.com

How to call and get on the air on natio… Get on the air with a national talk radio show and plug one of Mark Dice's books and he'll send you a copy of Illuminati - Facts and Fiction ~ see details below!

TARGETS: Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Michael Savage

By Mark Dice www.TheResistanceManifesto.com

How to call and get on the air on national talk radio shows

First of all, find out when the show airs LIVE and in what time zone. Many shows are live in one time zone, and are then replayed several hours later in other parts of the country which have different time zones.

Second, call the show in the first few minutes as soon as it starts. Call right when the show goes on air, or even start calling several minutes BEFORE it goes live. This way you wont have to press redial for an hour hoping to get through. Get the call-in number and timeslot from the shows website which youre going to target. Once the host gives the phone number over the air inviting people to call, the phone lines will be jammed with people trying to call in.

The topics are usually consistent for the entire segment, half hour, or even hour. Mainstream media mockingbirds love to beat a subject to death. You cant just ask a random question about a subject, even if it is a good one because these zombies love to stay on the same topic. Do you agree or do you disagree with the topic at hand? Why? You need a fake question to get past the call screener.

Have a question or comment that revolves around one of the top stories for the day ready to feed the call screener. The screener is the person who first answers your call. Theyll ask your name, town youre calling from, and your question or comment. If the screener thinks your question or comment is a good one, theyll put your call in the call bank and youll start hearing the show through your phone, and you turn off your radio to avoid feedback. Then be ready to wait.

Be prepared to be on hold for at least thirty minutes to an hour once you make it past the screener. Its not that bad since you can at least listen to the show while youre on hold. Use your blue tooth or ear piece so you dont have to hold your phone up to your ear the entire time. Also, this way you can do laundry or surf the web while on hold. Try to use a land line, and not a cell phone because your voice will sound much clearer when youre on the air.

If you use a land line then you can put the phone on speaker phone to listen to the show until your call, but as soon as they go to your call PICK UP THE RECEIVER. It sounds terrible when using speakerphone on the air and they may just drop you. You need to sit right next to the phone and pick it up the second they call your name and put you on air. Do not be on the other side of the room and miss your opportunity.

When the host goes to your call, DO NOT SAY HI, OR HOW ARE YOU DOING, OR HEY THIS IS MARK IN SAN DIEGO. As soon as they say, lets go to Mark in San Diego, whats up Mark?, go right into your question or make your statement. When they do this, your phone line is opened up and youre on the air.

Remember, they are the PUBLIC airwaves. And were not calling them and bothering them on their home numbers. That would be harassment, and wrong. This is a call in radio show on the public air waves. They give out the number and ASK PEOPLE TO CALL. So CALL. And KEEP CALLING.

Just think how many people will Google Terror Storm or Alex Jones Endgame after they hear it on the show, or after they keep hearing it. This is how one ordinary person can speak to MILLIONS of people with a simple phone call.

Its good to bring up issues and keywords like Operation Northwoods, 9/11 insider trading, Loose Change, etc. If you plug a website, you will most likely have your comment censored, and the web address will not make it on the air.

Instead of plugging a website and having your call go to waste, ask these clowns if they have seen Terror Storm on Google video, or if theyve read The Resistance Manifesto. Tell them you keep hearing about this film called Fabled Enemies or The 9/11 Chronicles and you watched it for free on Google Video and was shocked at the quality and sources from the films.

This is simple, extremely powerful and effective, and runs you ZERO risk of getting arrested as other forms of activism entail. I encourage you to get several of your friends or members of your favorite forum to all call into the same show on the same day. This is called a phone mob and is a great way to hammer your point into the minds of the listeners. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. "The earth is flat."

As you stand in his front yard, it is hard to argue the point. From among the Joshua trees, creosote bushes, and tumbleweeds surrounding his southern California hillside home, you have a spectacular view of the Mojave Desert. It looks as flat as a pool table. Nearly 20 miles to the west lies the small city of Lancaster; you can see right over it. Beyond Lancaster, 20 more miles as the cueball rolls, the Tehachepi Mountains rise up from the desert floor. Los Angeles is not far to the south.

Near Lancaster, you see the Rockwell International plant where the Space Shuttle was built. To the north, beyond the next hill, lies Edwards Air Force Base, where the Shuttle was tested. There, also, the Shuttle will land when it returns from orbiting the earth. (At least, that's NASA's story.)

"You can't orbit a flat earth," says Mr. Johnson. "The Space Shuttle is a joke—and a very ludicrous joke."

His soft voice carries conviction, for Charles Johnson is on the level. He believes that the main purpose of the space program is to prop up a dying myth—the myth that the earth is a globe.

"Nobody knows anything about the true shape of the world," he contends. "The known, inhabited world is flat. Just as a guess, I'd say that the dome of heaven is about 4,000 miles away, and the stars are about as far as San Francisco is from Boston."

As shown in a map published by Johnson, the known world is as circular and as flat as a phonograph record. The North Pole is at the center. At the outer edge lies the southern ice, reputed to be a wall 150 feet high; no one has ever crossed it, and therefore what lies beyond is unknown.

The sun and moon, in the Johnson version, are only about 32 miles in diameter. They circle above the earth in the vicinity of the equator, and their apparent rising and setting are tricks of perspective, like railroad tracks that appear to meet in the distance. The moon shines by its own light and is not eclipsed by the earth. Rather, lunar eclipses are caused by an unseen dark body occasionally passing in front of the moon.

Johnson's beliefs are firmly grounded in the Bible. Many verses of the Old Testament imply that the earth is flat, but there's more to it than that. According to the New Testament, Jesus ascended up into heaven.

"The whole point of the Copernican theory is to get rid of Jesus by saying there is no up and no down," declares Johnson. "The spinning ball thing just makes the whole Bible a big joke."

Not the Bible but Johnson's own common sense allowed him to see through the globe myth while he was still in grade school. He contends that sensible people all over the world, not just Bible believers, realize that the earth really is flat.

"Wherever you find people with a great reservoir of common sense," he says, "they don't believe idiotic things such as the earth spinning around the sun. Reasonable, intelligent people have always recognized that the earth is flat."

He pauses for a sip of coffee, his eyes sparkling with animation. At 56, Charles Johnson is a bearded, distinguished-looking man who drinks coffee seemingly by the gallon. He chain-smokes, hand-rolling cigarettes so skillfully that they seem factory made. Unlike the stereotypical prophet, he has a wry sense of humor and a booming laugh. Fond of plays on words, he consistently pronounces Nicolaus Koppernigk's Latinized surname as "co-pernicious."

The Flat Earth Society's presidency descended upon Charles Johnson in accord with the last wishes of its founder, Samuel Shenton, an Englishman who died in 1971. The society, which will round out a quarter-century next year, is a spiritual inheritor of the Universal Zetetic Society, which flourished in England in the last century.

The cosmos of the Zetetics.
Picture © 1992 by Robert Schadewald.

Under Johnson's full-time presidency, the society's paid-up membership has grown from a few persons to a few hundred. Membership is open to anyone who is regarded as sincerely seeking the truth; prospective members must sign a statement agreeing never to defame the society. Part of the $10 annual dues pays for a subscription to the Flat Earth News, a marvelously outspoken four-page tabloid quarterly with an editorial style reminiscent of 19th-century rural journalism.

Johnson's office is barely controlled chaos. Books, papers, and files are everywhere; his desk is covered with correspondence. The flow of letters, still increasing, now runs around 2,000 a year, or a half-dozen every day. Some are properly addressed (Box 2533, Lancaster, CA 93534), but he receives any mail that reaches Lancaster with "flat-earth" on it. And such letters sometimes come from the far edges of the world (an expression which Johnson and his membership accept quite literally). Rummaging in a box on the floor, Johnson produces inquiries from Saudi Arabia, Iran, India.

"Everybody who writes gets an answer," he reports. "An application or whatever is called for. We serve our purpose in keeping it alive. Whosoever asks, receives." The "we" includes his wife, Marjory, who is a native of Australia. The Johnsons met by chance in 1959, when they both went into a San Francisco store to buy the same record, Acker Bilk's haunting "Stranger on the Shore." They discovered that they had more in common than their tastes in music. They're both vegetarians, for one thing, but the overriding interest is geography

"Marjory has always known that the earth is flat, too," says Charles Johnson. "As far as she knew, everybody in Australia knew it. She was rather shocked when she arrived here and found people speaking of Australia as being 'down under.' It really offended her. She would get in quite heated arguments with people who seemed to accuse her of coming from down under the world." Ultimately, Marjory Johnson swore in an affidavit that she had never hung by her feet in Australia.

As secretary of the Flat Earth Society, she assists in running it, and writes a regular column in the News. She has also helped her husband perform experiments to determine the earth's shape. If it is a sphere, the surface of a large body of water must be curved. The Johnsons have checked the surfaces of Lake Tahoe and the Salton Sea (a shallow salt lake in southern California near the Mexican border) without detecting any curvature.

Their home is a half-mile from the nearest neighbor. Friends drop by now and then, but their primary companions are a half-dozen dogs, several cats, a flock of chickens, and a myriad of sparrows roosting in a Joshua tree just outside the door. No electric-power line runs to the house, for which water must be carried up the hill. The physical isolation is the ultimate in privacy—but another kind of isolation proves to be less desirable.

"We're two witnesses against the whole world," observes Charles Johnson. "We've chosen that path, but it isolates us from everyone. We're not complaining; it has to be. But it does kind of get to you sometimes."

In spite of the loneliness and the frustrations, they press on. Charles Johnson claims that most of the people who shaped our modern world were flat-earthers, and some of them didn't have it easy, either.

You weren't aware that flat-earthers have played an important part in history? Well, conventional histories don't make that clear. But inasmuch as revisionist history is in vogue, Charles Johnson should be recognized as one of the leading practitioners.

"Moses was a flat-earther," he reveals. "The Flat Earth Society was founded in 1492 B.C., when Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt and gave them the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai."

Conventional biblical chronology dates the Ten Commandments to 1491 B.C., but it may be imprecise. Perhaps Johnson prefers 1492 for the symmetry. It was, after all, in 1492 A.D. that another famous flat-earther made history.

Have you heard the story about Columbus's problems with his crew? As some tell it, the crew nearly mutinied because they regarded the earth as flat, and feared they might sail off its edge.

"It was exactly the reverse," explains Johnson. "There was a dispute out on the ship, but it was because Columbus was a flat-earther. The others believed the earth to be a ball, and they just knew that they were falling over the edge and couldn't get back. Columbus had to put them in irons and beat them until he convinced them they weren't going over any curve, and they could return. He finally calmed them down."

Johnson believes that the ball business—though it goes back to the Greek philosophers—really got rolling after the Protestant Reformation.

"It's the Church of England that's taught that the world is a ball," he argues. "George Washington, on the other hand, was a flat-earther. He broke with England to get away from those superstitions." If Johnson is right, the American Revolution failed. No prominent American politician is known to have publicly endorsed the flat-earth theory in the past two centuries. Nevertheless, Johnson contends that this nearly happened right after World War II, not for the U.S. alone, but for the entire world. Consider the United Nations:

"Uncle Joe (Stalin), Churchill, and Roosevelt laid the master plan to bring in the New Age under the United Nations," Johnson discloses with confidence. "The world ruling power was to be right here in this country. After the war, the world would be declared flat and Roosevelt would be elected first president of the world. When the UN Charter was drafted in San Francisco, they took the flat-earth map as their symbol."

Why declare the world flat? Johnson responds that a prophesied condition for world government (Isaiah 60:20) is that the "sun shall no more go down." This could be fulfilled by admitting that sunrise and sunset are optical illusions. The UN did adopt for its official seal a world map identical with the one on Johnson's office wall. But Franklin Roosevelt died coincident with the UN's birth, and the other imminent events described by Johnson never came about.

What did happen, according to conventional historians, was that Russia and the U.S. began space programs. After the Russians sent up Sputnik in 1957, the space race was on in earnest. The high point came in 1969, when the U.S. landed men on the moon.

That, according to Johnson, is nonsense, because the moon landings were faked by Hollywood studios. He even names the man who wrote the scripts: the science-fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke. But he acknowledges that the moon landings were at least partly successful.

"Until then," he says, "almost no one seriously considered the world a ball. The landings converted a few of them, but many are coming back now and getting off of it."

Perhaps the Space Shuttle is intended to bolster the beliefs of these backsliders. Whatever its purpose, Johnson is convinced that it is not intended to actually fly. Because it was built and tested almost in his back yard, he knows many people who worked on it. What they've told him about some aspects of its construction only reinforces his convictions.

"They moved it across the field," he sneers, "and it almost fell apart. All those little side pieces are on with epoxy, and half fell off!"

The Shuttle had other problems besides heat resistant tiles that wouldn't stick. For instance, when the testers tried to mount it on a 747 for its first piggy-back test flight, it wouldn't fit.

"Can you imagine that?" chortles Johnson. "Millions of dollars they spent, and it wouldn't fit! They had to call in a handyman to drill some new holes to make the thing fit. Then they took it up in the air—and some more of it fell to pieces."

If the Shuttle ever does orbit on its own, it's supposed to return to Edwards Air Force Base. To Johnson, that's appropriate enough.

"Do you know what they're doing at Edwards right now?" he asks. "'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century' is made right where they claim they're going to land the Shuttle. Edwards is strictly a science-fiction base now.

"Buck is a much better science program, considerably more authentic. In fact, I recommend that the government get out of the space business and turn the whole thing over to ABC, CBS, and NBC. The tv networks do a far superior job. They could actually pay the government for rights, and it wouldn't cost the taxpayers a penny."

Flat Earth Society members are working actively to bring the Shuttle charade to an end. They hope to force the government to let the public in on what the power elite has known all along: the plane truth.

"When the United States declares the earth is flat," says Charles Johnson, "and we hope to be instrumental in making it do so, it will be the first nation in all recorded history to be known as a flat-earth nation.

"In the old days, people believed the earth was flat, because it's logical, but they didn't have a picture of the way it was, as we have today. Our concept of the world is new.

"Marjory and I are the avant garde. We're way ahead of the pack."

-- The end --

Postscript: Much has changed since I wrote this article, both in the world at large and in Charles Johnson's life. In late September 1995, the Johnsons' venerable high-desert home caught fire. Charles managed to pull Marjory, by then a semi-invalid on supplemental oxygen, to safety, but everything else in the house was destroyed—their personal possessions, the Flat Earth Society library and archives, the membership list, everything. Having no fire insurance, the Johnsons were unable to rebuild. A dilapidated old house trailer, bought as a storage shed, survived the fire, and they took refuge there. A few months later, Marjory fell and broke a hip. She survived hip replacement surgery but never recovered her strength. On May 16, 1996, she died.

The Flat Earth Society lives on, still doing business at Box 2533, Lancaster, CA 93534. Charles Johnson has immersed himself in rebuilding the membership roster. Publication of the Flat Earth News, in hiatus since 1994, will resume with the December 1996 issue.

R.J.S. (10/6/96)

Postscript: Bob Schadewald, author of this essay, died March 12, 2000 at age 57. Charles Johnson died March 19, 2001 at age 76. For nearly 30 years Charles fought the lonely and futile battle to "restore the world to sanity."

Return to Donald Simanek's page.

Since 8/30/01 seekers of the plane truth have visited this page. State lawmakers are looking for a better relationship after a rocky few months with Palin since she returned from the 2008 presidential campaign.

State Rep. John Coghill, R-North Pole, said Parnell's years as a lawmaker in both the state House and Senate should help open communications between the executive and legislative branches.

"I think his understanding of how to communicate is going to do him well. That's one of the things the present governor has struggled with. I think he will just do better at it," Coghill said.

Parnell's already reached out to lawmakers. When he announced he wanted lawmakers to expand the call of the Legislature's Aug. 10 special session beyond confirmation of his choice of lieutenant governor and an attempted override of Palin's veto of some stimulus funds, he told lawmakers his plans first.

"He actually calls us," said state House Minority Leader Beth Kerttula, D-Juneau. "He's going to make more of an effort that way."

Parnell, 46, was born in Hanford, Calif., in 1962, and moved to Anchorage with his family in 1973, when he was 10. He graduated from East Anchorage High School and Pacific Lutheran University, and earned his law degree from the University of Puget Sound School of Law.

He has practiced law in Anchorage since 1987. Following in the footsteps of his father, Pat, Parnell was elected to the state House in 1992 for two terms. He then was elected to a seat in the Senate, where he was co-chairman of the Finance Committee. He was elected lieutenant governor in 2006.

Two years later, he dramatically and abruptly announced at the state Republican convention that he was challenging U.S. Rep. Don Young in the GOP primary as Young sat in the audience. Young's chance for a 19th term had been damaged by federal investigations into his fundraising activities, and his spending of more than a $1 million in campaign funds on legal fees.

But Parnell conducted a very low-profile campaign and was seen as squandering the opportunity when Young won the primary by only 304 votes.

At the time, Parnell said he didn't ask for a recount partly because he was stepping into more official duties of the governor as Palin campaigned as GOP presidential candidate John McCain's running mate last fall.

Once Palin returned to the state after the bruising national campaign, her relationship with the public and lawmakers changed. Residents began filing ethics complaints against her, and it took a toll on her.

Palin summoned Parnell about 4 p.m. on July 1, asking him to take the short stroll to her plush 17th-floor suite overlooking the city of Anchorage.

Palin and Parnell talked for about 10 minutes as she let him in on a little secret that would have political repercussions in Alaska and beyond: The former vice presidential candidate, the conservative superstar, the possible 2012 White House candidate, was resigning.

It was a decision that was months in the making. But no one in her inner circle who learned of the news could say anything until the official announcement on July 3.

"I was taken aback," Parnell said. "When the governor takes that kind of a step, it's a serious thing. It was clear to me she gave it a lot of thought."

Parnell is not shaking up the cabinet as he steps into office. He's retained Palin's commissioners, but will have to replace Craig Campbell in the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs since he's been tapped as Parnell's lieutenant governor.

"The question is, will he be able to assemble people and kind of marshal them in a leadership role?" said Rep. Coghill, who predicts Parnell will do well as governor. "I think he'll be able to do that, but he certainly lacks the kind of pizzaz Gov. Palin has. So that quiet, deliberate leadership, we'll have to see how it works with the administration as it has been assembled."

Parnell said his administration will focus on the economy, which he called the key issue now facing Alaskans.

"The main issue is going to be the economy and making sure that we're positioned for economic growth, making sure that our people have jobs and have jobs in the future," he said. "That's No. 1."

It's a direction he shares with Palin.

"I'm going to continue her focus on economic planning," he said. "I'm going to continue her focus on making sure we have natural gas and energy, cheaper energy for Alaskans."

"Like I said, we share the same core values."

Copyright © 2009 The Associated Press. Israel is investing time in preparing itself for the complexity of an attack on Iran. These maneuvers are a message to Iran that Israel will follow up on its threats," the official was quoted as saying.”

President Bush had become so alarmed over Israel’s plan to attack Iran that in an unprecedented move, just prior to leaving office, he refused the Israelis “secret request” for 1,000 of the American bunker busting bombs they wanted, but, Israel had obtained 100 of these dreaded weapons in a 2005 deal with the Pentagon.

Upon Obama assuming the US Presidency, Israel’s Prime Minister gave the American leader a stark warning that “Either you take care of Iran-quickly-or I will”, a challenge that Obama, while in Russia last week, slapped down by warning that the United States is “absolutely not” giving Israel a green light to attack Iran, a curious statement, however, when viewed in the light of the American Vice President Biden stating just days before that “Israel is free to do whatever it deems necessary to remove the Iranian nuclear threat”.

Fueling Russian and Chinese fears over Israel’s planned attack on Iran, these reports continue, is the Jewish states planned use of Iraqi territory from their Kurdistan region which borders Iran, and which this past week furthered its goal to become an independent Nation with the adopting of a new constitution, and with its Israeli trained army can expect an “immediate” invasion from both its sworn enemies Turkey and Iran.

Even worse, Syria’s leader has reportedly warned the US that upon Turkey and Iran declaring war upon Kurdistan and Israel it would “no choice” but to honor its defense agreements with the Iranians calling for their Nations to protect each other in times of peril.

Further complicating this mess is Turkey’s membership in NATO, and which under that alliances agreement calls for the United States and Europe to join with the Turkish military in fighting against what in essence would be their own allies of Israel and Kurdistan.

Not being known to the American people is that while their Military Forces have been fighting in Iraq, the United States and Iran have longstanding agreements allowing the Iranians to shell Iraqi Kurd territory without fear of reprisal, an agreement that also includes Turkey who have battled against the Iraqi Kurds for decades.

Most ominously in these reports though, both Russia and China state that they will have “no choice” but to place an “immediate embargo” against any oil and gas coming from the Middle East and weapons to the region the United States may try to supply. China further states in this warning that upon an Israeli attack upon Iran they will “immediately cease” to purchase any more US debt, and with the American deficit hitting $1 Trillion for the first time in their history, and with it expecting to exceed $2 Trillion by the end of the fiscal year on September 30th, a particually grave threat being that China’s $2 Trillion in reserves are the only thing keeping the US economy afloat.

Russian Intelligence Analysts further report that the long-serving head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Gholam Reza Aghazadeh, resigned today over fears for his and his family’s safety upon an attack by Israel upon the Persian Nation.

What is not known at this time, these reports summarize, is if Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, which the Israelis report has been “successfully tested”, would be able to withstand the estimated 6,000 plus missiles expected to be fired at it by the combined powers of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah.

But, to Israeli war leaders believing that upon the conventional destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities, the Persian Nation will “sue for peace” rather than be hit by nuclear weapons, these reports state, unequivocally, that Iranian leaders are “fully prepared” to engulf the entire World in “brutal fire” rather than to ever “kneel down” before the “Zionists” they have long stated have no right being in the Middle East in the first place.
[Ed. Note: Western governments and their intelligence services actively campaign against the information found in these reports so as not to alarm their citizens about the many catastrophic Earth changes and events to come, a stance that the Sisters of Sorcha Faal strongly disagrees with in believing that it is every human beings right to know the truth. Due to our missions conflicts with that of those governments, the responses of their ‘agents’ against us has been a longstanding misinformation/misdirection campaign designed to discredit and which is addressed in the report “Who Is Sorcha Faal?”.]

Agatha Christie once famously said, "The simplest explanation is always the most likely." However, when something shocking or catastrophic happens in our lives, simple explanations just aren't satisfying. We crave deeper reason and meaning and when that isn't given to us, sometimes we create our own. This is how conspiracy theories are often born -- someone doesn't like the official account of a major event and challenges it with a different version. Conspiracy theories can attract a wide array of people, from vehement supporters to those who just like a good story. Whether they're somewhat believable or completely ridiculous, the most popular conspiracy theories got that way for a reason -- they're just plain fascinating.

http://www.cfciowa.org/K017/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=255:russia-china-warn-us-that-israeli-attack-on-iran-means-world-war&catid=4:national-news&Itemid=7" target="_blank" Magnetic forces to blame for 9/11 tower collapse tag:snardfarker.ning.com,2009-07-24:2649739:Topic:83131 2009-07-24T17:32:12.088Z ricoyung Magnetic forces to blame for 9/11 tower collapse

By Steve Connor

Wednesday, 10 September 2008

Scientists can finally explain why the Twin Towers collapsed on September 11, despite the temperature of the fires being well below the 1,500C melting point of the steel girders holding up the buildings.

The discovery that unusual magnetic forces within the girders ma… Magnetic forces to blame for 9/11 tower collapse

By Steve Connor

Wednesday, 10 September 2008

Scientists can finally explain why the Twin Towers collapsed on September 11, despite the temperature of the fires being well below the 1,500C melting point of the steel girders holding up the buildings.

The discovery that unusual magnetic forces within the girders made them weak at temperatures of about 500C explains away the conspiracy theories that have spread like wildfire since the disaster.

Sergei Dudarev, of the UK Atomic Energy Agency, found that steel loses its strength above 500C because its molecules undergo a physical transition from one state to another due to magnetic fluctuations. "The steel didn't melt, it just became soft. It is an unusual state and the temperatures in the Twin Towers were high enough to cause it because the thermal insulation was knocked off the girders through the impact with the aircraft," he said.

"Understanding how materials behave means we can find the right 'medicine' to make steel stronger at high temperatures... and if our work can be used for other applications, such as safeguarding tall buildings against disasters, so much the better," he said.
